About The Callaloo Corner
Our Story
The Callaloo Corner was born from a simple observation: Flatbush deserves an independent bookstore that serves as a true community gathering place. As one of Brooklyn's most vibrant neighborhoods, our area has amazing restaurants and strong community spirit—but limited options for book lovers seeking a quality third space.
Our Mission
To create Flatbush's premier community bookstore, coffee shop, and cultural hub where excellent literature, specialty coffee, cocktails, and warm Caribbean hospitality bring our entire community together.
